• Welcome to our Preparing for Sixth Form information page!

Three steps to a smooth transition...
    1. This page is intended to help you learn more about Lowestoft Sixth Form College as a current applicant or as you prepare to apply for our courses. You will find videos, documents and quick links to information that will help you get a feel for what college life is like. There is also guidance on how to apply, as well as an introduction to some of our support services.
    2. The departmental pages will help you discover more about the courses, tutors and facilities for your chosen area of study. This will help you prepare for your interview. Click here to find your chosen department.
    3. Finally, once your interview is complete and you have an offer, you will have access to your course page. Here you will be given an introduction to the course in preparation for your start in September.

    Do you have a question?
  • Food

The Kitchen is our main canteen that offers a range of hot and cold food and drinks. We also have vending machines within The Kitchen where you can buy cold drinks and snacks and meet friends during breaks.

    Trips and Visits

Your time at College presents an opportunity to try new things and make new friends. Many of the courses have visits and/or activities as part of the curriculum. If you are 17 years and under you will need your parents/carers to sign a consent form before you can participate.

    Open Days and Events

The college has a number of open days, progress evenings and events throughout the year. Some of these will require volunteer students to help out as ambassadors for the college or visit your former school to tell them about life as a student at ECC. Some events will be for you to attend, to learn more about progression into further study, including higher education, apprenticeships or employment and for parents/carers and partners to get involved.

The marketing team welcome news and events from students or staff - anything from trips to charity fundraisers so please contact the team on 01493 418345 or email marketing@eastcoast.ac.uk to tell us what you’re up to!

Covering events - We are always on the look-out for budding photographers, journalists or filmmakers to cover events so if you would like to get involved and gain experience please get in touch.
Case studies - We love writing about your success stories, so if you have a great story please let us know. Some of our recent students have been promoted in advertising campaigns and many appear on our website, in our prospectus or in school presentations. This also looks great on your CV!
